Applicants must already be enrolled in a Student nurse training programme. 

We are looking for a Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team at a busy 24 hour hospital.  

The role is 40 hours a week, working one in six weekends; Saturday and Sunday with time back in lieuYou will also be required to work one bank holiday a year. 

You will work alongside a team of 11 RVNs, 5 SVNs and 6 Patient care assistants. You will work with the nurses to progress your skills and knowledge whilst rotating through wards and surgery. 

You will be involved in x-rays, surgery, general anesthetics, patient care, tube feeding, nurse clinics,endoscopy and critical care.  There are also opportunities to work with our Specialist practice next door. 

Shift: 40 hours a week, Mixed shifts 8-4 and 12-8, one full weekend every 6 weeks.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Always give gold standard care to all patients and clients
  • Uphold practice protocols and standards within the clinic and support your colleagues to do the same
  • Ensure all work that is carried out is correctly documented, priced and communicated to clients
  • Develop good relationships with clients, running clinics and appointments
