Want the best of both worlds?
Our Village Vet Nursing Internship is a two-year programme where successful candidates will spend time between our flagship North London practice in Winchmore Hill and our central London referral hospital.
Winchmore Hill is a busy clinic with overnight facilities and an experienced, motivated and welcoming team. Here we see a very varied caseload here due to a range of vet interests; ultrasonography, complex orthopaedics, endoscopy, and ophthalmology just for starters, with many of our vets holding or working towards certificates. Our 24-hr provision means you can really nurse, as cases are kept in and therefore we maintain wonderful continuity and standards of care with every patient. The successful candidate here will be learning alongside experienced nurses and getting a great foundation in primary care practice including hospital and surgical nursing as well as the opportunity to run nurse clinics and develop individual interests.
London Vet Specialists
LVS is our central London referral clinic filled with amazing specialists who get to see great cases. Here you can learn what it means to work in this type of environment and with the most complex of cases. We’ve seen everything here from tumours in the vena cava to ectopic ureters and cats who’ve eaten shoelaces. We have our own CT machine and specialists in every discipline to give the successful candidate a brilliant introduction to referral nursing. You will follow a specific programme to ensure you emerge from the two-year internship with abilities in a range of specialist areas to include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, imaging, oncology, cardiology and dermatology.
