Description

  • Work with the Operations Director and other Heads of support to deliver business priorities and embed company strategies
  • Ensure all practices comply with the relevant Building regulations, Quality Standard and Health and Safety standards by working with the Compliance Manager and carrying out regular audits and reviews
  • Create clear and effective two-way communication to your team and across our practices, ensuring accurate communication flows from the senior management team to all colleagues
  • Ensure the company’s core values are continually promoted so they become intrinsic within each practice
  • Contribute to the development of an environment that encourages change, growth and trust in our own Company and in our partnership with others, working together as one team

Linnaeus Group is a vibrant, forward-thinking partnership of highly respected veterinary practices across the UK, comprising some of the best clinicians in the profession. Village Vet the largest Veterinary Group within Linnaeus have 30 practices across North London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, which includes four 24-hour emergency hospitals and a specialist referral centre in Hampstead – London Vet Specialists. We have over 300 staff, including specialists in Soft Tissue Surgery, Dermatology and Emergency and Critical Care, staff with certificates in feline practice, and residency trained consultants in anaesthesia and analgesia and internal medicine. The pace of work for Village Vet ranges from the quieter village practices in Cambridge, to the fast-paced, 24 hour emergency and critical care at Hampstead.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful integration of all new businesses within the first 100 days
  • Effective management of direct reports providing direction and development to ensure objectives are met
  • Ensuring Practice Standards Scheme are continuously met measuring through regular auditing
  • Drive Pet Health Club penetration ensuring the practices have the tools and support for growth
  • Manage the Training & Development of trainee and apprentice nurses
  • Conduct successful delivery of employee Inductions
  • Ensure Stock Management efficiencies and processes are actively maintained
  • Committed to and always act in accordance with Company protocol, policies and procedures and also legislation
  • Ensure full compliance with GDPR, monitoring through regular audits
  • Ensure SOPs and Protocols are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary
  • Build and sustain close working relationships with clinical and administrative staff ensuring all the necessary tools are available to them to be confident in their role
  • Manage the collation and reporting of customer complaints
  • Ensure all practices comply with the relevant Building regulations, Quality Standard and Health and Safety standards by working with the Compliance Manager and carrying out regular audits and reviews
  • Conduct regular visits to the practices throughout the area providing encouragement, support and guidance whilst looking for and sharing best practice

Essential Experience Required

  • Experience in delivering projects
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of data protection legislation and best practice.
  • Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • A team player, able to work across organisational boundaries, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Must be willing to travel between our sites in London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire

 

Desirable Experience Required

  • Degree level or equivalent
